OUR ORIGINS

Born of a single
 unmet standard.

Grand Maison began in Kuala Lumpur with a quiet observation: that residents of Malaysian cities were asked to choose between the impersonality of corporate serviced apartments and the inconsistency of private rentals. Neither felt like home.

We set out to build a third option — a residential operating standard that could be trusted across cities, across seasons and across years. One specification, one contact, one invoice. The first residence opened in 2019. The network has been growing, deliberately, ever since.

Every residence is conceived with the climate in mind — generous shade, deep verandahs, cross-ventilation, native planting and the slow, dappled light of a courtyard tree. Materials are sourced regionally; craft is commissioned from local ateliers wherever it can be.

The result is residences that feel of their cities — not imported from elsewhere, not borrowed from a foreign brand. Modern Malaysian living, returned to a quieter standard.
